New Advent/Christmas/Epiphany resource by my friend Brian Wren
I met Brian Wren for the first time about 15 years ago. I was already a fan of his hymn lyrics and so I thought taking a January interterm course with him during seminary would be a good move. Little did I know that his course, “Liberating Liturgy,” would really turn me on to the connection between liturgy and ethics which became a focus of my Ph.D. Brian is still creating wonderful things for us and this year is no different. His new book was just released and I wanted you to add this to your resource pile for the Advent/Christmas/Epiphany cycle. It is called “Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany: Liturgies And Prayers For Public Worship.” This will enrich your library whether you follow the lectionary (he includes resources for all three years of the cycle) or follow theme-based planning. Google the title to find places to order it.
